The presence of many mineral thermal water springs is directly related to the volcanic origin of the area. 

The main pool is very large, with waterfalls at one end, near a smaller children pool.  The water is a little cooler than body temperature, making it very comfortable for the Italian summers.  Surrounded by grassy terraces, shaded by oak trees and gazebos, it is not well known by tourists, but it is a popular spot for locals to spend an entire day.
